Grid Connect Solar – Save money on your power bill

Solar power systems connected to the electricity power grid is called grid connected.  This is the most popular of all solar power systems.  In the old days “Off Grid” was the only type of solar system.

Solar systems connected to the grid range from small domestic systems of 2 or 3 kilowatts, up to 100’s of kilowatts on factories or other commercial buildings.

These solar systems only work when the sun is up and the power grid is on.   If the power goes off then the solar system will shut down.
